Our Team

The Inskin Team is an excellent mix of  medical professionals, skin clinicians, tattoo artists and  therapists.

Inskin is founded by myself, Julie Johnson and husband Graham .  We wanted to offer beautiful surroundings for aesthetics, dermatology treatments, clinical services, and here’s the colourful twist – tattoos.

Our team

 Julie Johnson

I along with my husband Graham first set up our clinic within Altrincham in 2014.  Prior to that I worked within various clinics in and around Cheshire.

I  treat all manner of cosmetic dermatology concerns and skin lesions and my wealth of experience in this field dates back to 2010.  The main core of our business is built around the numerous skin concerns that develop on our skin and we are so pleased that people from all over the UK (and further afield) trust us with their skin.

I am also member of the British Institute and Association of Electrolysis and a member of the Bupa network of practitioners for work with transgenders.

More recently I have been busy developing and writing training courses and we are now able to offer training courses for skin lesions and concerns, permanent hair removal and specialist transgender reassignment permanent hair removal courses.  These are accredited by the CPD standards office and under our banner of Inskin Professional

I am delighted to be able to welcome you along to our beautiful building and treatment rooms at Inskin, conveniently located on Oxford Road in Altrincham.  We and our specialists look forward to working with you.

Graham Johnson  

Tattoos are my thing.  I graduated at Camberwell School of Arts, London, way back, and dabbled in tattoos even then whilst creating illustrations and bespoke designs for tattoo artists.

I spent a long time working in design and illustration and then went into the education of art.  I am still Head of Arts at a college but now get the chance to create pieces of art onto people’s skin.  This is such satisfying work.  I work with every medium there is in art but to actually create a piece to be adorned by someone forever is a huge Privilege and responsibility that never fails to give me absolute joy.

I work with medical tattoos such as creating the illusion of areolas and belly buttons post operative as well as bespoke tattoos

Because of my background in art, I can work with the differing tattoo styles, depending on what it is that people want.  I will always try to add my own enhancement to their choices to upgrade the overall tattoo picture but of course the choice is theirs.  I prefer 3D realism and watercolour tattoos but enjoy traditional and various other styles too.  Watercolour tattoos I design in actual watercolour onto paper first off, then that is yours as a present when the tattoo is finished

I work closely with art generally and apart from still teaching it, I still exhibit in galleries and am a member of the Wirral Society of Arts.

I am finding that a whole new group of people are coming forward for tattoos who wouldn’t normally approach a traditional style tattoo studio which is great.

Dr Mehreen Arshad MBChB, MPharm

Dr Mehreen graduated as a doctor from the University of Liverpool in 2016. She developed a keen interest in aesthetics in 2017 and went on to train in advanced toxin and dermal filler treatments with Derma Medical. She is an experienced, accredited, and licensed aesthetics doctor and specialises in anti-wrinkle injections, lip enhancement, facial rejuvenation, and skin booster treatments.

Alongside her aesthetics career, Dr Mehreen is also a trainer for a prestigious and well recognised aesthetics academy, and she also continues to work within the NHS as a GP trainee doctor.

Amanda Makin

Amanda is a level 5 senior therapist here at Inskin, with 25+years of knowledge in the industry.

By offering tailored consultations she is committed to understanding her clients desired results and works hard to achieve the best results possible to make a clients feel confident and happy within themselves.

Amanda’s bubbly personality, approachable nature and in-depth knowledge has allowed her to build trust a relationship with all of her clients, both new and old .

Amanda has trained in many treatments. Some examples include, micro needling, skin tightening, laser, peels, Aquapure and Hydrafacial, electrolysis plus many more. She is dedicated to putting clients first and delivering a professional service.  She also works closely with Julie and provides advanced electrology for certain treatments.

Mrs Lisa Knowles

Dental Therapist

Since qualifying from the University of Manchester in 2007, Lisa has worked in private dentistry around Cheshire. Lisa prides herself on her ability to help the most anxious patients feel calm, providing a welcoming and relaxed environment with an honest and strategic approach to her work. Lisa has worked alongside top Dental specialists, which has given her experience and a deeper understanding of the facial anatomy, which is vital when carrying out treatments effectively. Lisa has a particular interest in facial aesthetics and facial rejuvenation. She is fully qualified and experienced in providing a wide range of treatments, including treatments for wrinkle relaxing, treatment for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), dermal fillers for fine and deeper lines, cheek and lip enhancement and jawline and chin definition.

Lisa has undergone an array of advanced training in dentistry, facial aesthetics, and skin treatments, and she ensures her skills and knowledge are updated and refreshed so she can provide safe and ethical treatments to her patients.

Aside from dentistry, Lisa is a member of the Primary Care Dermatology Society and is qualified to provide minor treatments for a selection of skin lesions.

In Lisa’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children and is interested in optimum health and nutrition.

June

June has worked alongside Inskin since 2014 and has been in the medical laser industry for over 15 years.  She brings a wealth of experience working with all medical grade lasers. She has worked in clinics and hospitals and closely with surgeons.

Grace Jundi

Grace is our youngest member of the team and worked an apprenticeship with us initially.  She has been helping to look after the reception desk since before Covid. Her attention to detail is excellent and enjoys the day to day involvement with customers and patients.  Grace has a great interest in all about skin and has undertaken training in this field.  She is here on an adhoc basis now due to her cabin crew commitments.

On another note, Grace is also responsible for the lovely music playlists you will hear throughout the clinic for your quiet enjoyment.

Sharon Bentwood

Having had much experience in the business world, it is a delight to have Sharon working beside us helping to look after our clientele.   Sharon joined us early 2023 and is a welcome addition to the team.

Dr Gopbi

Dr Mudiyur Gopi is a Consultant paediatrician with a special interest in Allergy at Macclesfield District General Hospital, part of East Cheshire NHS Trust and provides consultations here at Inskin.
