Wrinkle smoothing treatment of Botulinum Toxin  (Botox, Azzalure and Bocature) 

These popular injectable treatments are administered by either GP Doctor Dr Mehreen Arshad or  aesthetics and minor surgery practitioner Lisa Knowles here at Inskin.

With Botulinum toxin treatments (Botox, and Azzalure) the emphasis is on producing a natural result which will enhance your features. We always start with a conservative approach on your first treatment, and offer a free follow up appointment at two weeks with any top up that is needed which is included in the price. We use Azzalure in the clinic due to its faster action and superior duration to other products, but are happy to prescribe Botox or Bocoture if they are your preferred products. Botulism toxin treatment generally takes around 4-7 days to produce its effects, but we have seen faster results with Azzalure. Repeat treatment is not recommended before 12 weeks, and many clients will have a good effect from the product well beyond this.

 

In addition to providing aesthetic enhancement, the toxin is  also used to treat excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)

Botulinum Toxin (often referred to as a trade name known as Botox)

Naturally as we age collagen breaks down and with consistent use of facial muscles, lines and wrinkles will inevitably form.  The Toxin temporarily “blocks” the transmitters that allow the muscle to contract. When the muscles ceases to contract and therefore relax, they prevent the skin from creasing and so the wrinkle is smoothed out. The relaxation of the relevant facial muscles lasts for a period of 3-6 months

Toxin treatments are safe, effective and very quick.  After treatment, lines and wrinkles will be visibly smoothed out.  This generally takes  approx. 3-14 days to see the full effect of the injections.
